Ten years after he helped make “bond building” a groundbreaking new category in hair care, one of the scientists behind Olaplex, Dr. Eric Pressly, has released a shampoo and conditioner under his eponymous brand, epres.
Healthy Hair Shampoo and Conditioner contain epres’ patented Biodiffusion technology, formulated to help hair dry faster and to continue repairing after locks are dry. The conditioner can also be used as a leave-in.
The epres brand debuted in 2022 with professional-grade and at-home bond-repair treatments, which quickly gained scores of devotees. Its products are vegan and cruelty-free and contain no parabens, sulfates, preservatives, and other potentially harmful ingredients.
It recently launched an ambassador program made up of celebrity and influencer stylists including Bradley Leake and Liz Jung.
Pressly said his goal with epres is to “revolutionize the future of hair care” with simplified, consumer-friendly options for strengthening and repairing the molecular bonds that make up the hair strand.
“Our new products, Healthy Hair Shampoo & Conditioner, are approachable to all and make achieving healthy hair easy and accessible,” he says.
Pressly calls the Biodiffusion technology the next step in his revolutionary work with bond-repair formulations, first developed for Olaplex to restore hair’s structural integrity. He holds more than 100 bond-building patents.
